Students create a form out of clay with the concept of what is sacred and what is vessel in mind. Students brainstorm the multiple meanings of what a sacred vessel could mean to them and to other cultures as well. Students has to search their understandings and feelings about questions such as: What is the meaning of the word vessel and what does it mean for something to be sacred? Students must research multiple cultures and forms in order to present their ideas. The process and reflection must be journalized in the IWB with evidence to support the students claim.
