Baroque Style Painting

Learning Intention:
Students will be creating two paintings based on the Baroque and Impressionist Periods. They will explore the differences in technique and subjects.

Success Criteria:
  • High level of detail in the portrait
  • Blending is smooth and even
  • Portrait looks realistic
  • Extreme Lights and Darks (Chiaroscuro)
  • Painting is clean and shows good craftsmanship
  • Commitment to good/clean craftsmanship
  • Demonstrate motivation and independence
